New Release & Video: Rachael Dadd – Palaeontologist

In advance of her forthcoming January / February UK Tour, contemporary folk multi-instrumentalist Rachael Dadd is to release a new video for ‘Palaeontologist’. Taken from her recently released album Flux, ‘Palaeontologist’ is based on a true anecdote about a man fulfilling his dream when he discovers a whole fossilised dinosaur. As Rachael says, “In relation to evolution, extinction, love and warfare, I wonder if the secrets to our survival lie buried with the fossils?”

The song asks “was there love in the Cretaceous”, Rachael continues, “Who knows, but in contrast I like how the video is basically comprised of all the stuff I love, playing music and creating stuff with some off my favourite people, and having my kids there too for all the fun and creativity they bring into my life”.

Rachael will play the following dates in January and February as she tours her new album across the UK:
