New Release & Video: Mt. Joy – Bigfoot

LA-via-Philadelphia five-piece Mt. Joy released their self-titled, debut album earlier this year. The band have now shared a video for album track Bigfoot

Of the quirky video and its early 90’s MTV vibes, director Steve Girard said: “Without a specific story in mind, I let Mt. Joy’s ‘Bigfoot’ song inspire the visuals, and the visuals eventually built on themselves, in a natural way. I host a weekly open mic at Niagara Bar, so my imagination stayed there, and that’s where we filmed. I also had certain performers in mind. Edy Modica and I built the wandering ‘beast’ and the mondo trasho barfly character together. Paul Anderson and I developed an idiot Siamese twins duo, which we got to test out in this video. At the last minute, I pulled the biking/performing phenom Ryan Dee into the mix, made up like a fruit bat. My relationship with Sam (Sam Cooper, Mt. Joy Lead Guitarist) has always been funny, odd, and unforced. I hope this video reflects some of that!”
