Matilda Mann has announced the release of her captivating debut single ‘Never Sweeter’, recorded in South London alongside producer JMAC (Lucy Rose, Haux, Hilang Child).
“Never Sweeter came from a time when I didn’t want to process what I was thinking. It was loosely written about that feeling when you don’t want to confront something you know is true,” Matilda says of the track.

More recently inspired by the likes of Laura Marling, Big Thief and The Staves, her songs, originally written as notes taken from conversations with friends, or those overheard during tube rides and working in a pub, express a wealth of life experience that belie her tender years.
Having finished her studies last year, Matilda has spent the last twelve months becoming streetwise with support tours alongside Will Joseph Cook, Beabadoobee and Rosie Carney.
