New Release: Lowland Hum – Glyphonic / Will You Be

Lowland Hum have shared a new song from their upcoming album Glyphonic, out May 10th. Titled “Will You Be,” the song is a gracefully twisting ask for fidelity in its most whimsical form: “On land and ennui, one and only baby, Tearing down the road, we’re a ravenous cyclone”

The band say, “This is a pretty simple song about finding ways of fighting for unity with one another and healthy presence in the midst of the often breakneck pace of life on the road”

Lowland Hum are an art-folk duo composed of husband and wife, Daniel and Lauren Goans. Creators of the #SupportQuietMusic movement, the band maintain that in an increasingly polarized and noisy cultural moment, vulnerability is powerful and restraint stands in welcome contrast to new, bombastic norms. New album Glyphonic is the purest distillation of this thesis to date, a masterful exploration of stillness in rising chaos

Lowland Hum have enjoyed a busy beginning to 2019, charming enthused sessions audiences at The Wild Honey Pie, Paste Magazine and City Winery, and headlining rooms across the U.S. The band will bring their spring tour through New York City on April 3 at City Winery and end on album release day in their hometown, Charlottesville, NC.
