Frightened Rabbit have today announced details of Tiny Changes, a special covers album version of their extraordinary second record The Midnight Organ Fight, which was released in April 2008
Last May, lead singer Scott Hutchison took his own life after a battle with depression at the age of 36. Before his death, the band embarked on a 10th anniversary tour for The Midnight Organ Fight, which sadly became their final set of shows. Today, the band have announced the album Tiny Changes, which will see a number of artists covering the album’s beautiful and bleak tracks
In a statement, the band wrote:
Following Scott’s death last year, a concert to celebrate the life and music of the Scott Hutchison was held in New York City’s Rough Trade, and involved the likes of Julien Baker, The National’s Aaron Dessner, Craig Finn, Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard and Broken Social Scene’s Kevin Devine performing covers of Scott and Frightened Rabbit’s sensational back catalogue. The recording of that night’s beautiful performance’s was then unveiled in March of this year – take a listen HERE
