Live: Tune-Yards Announce UK & European Tour Shows

Tune-Yards have announced details of a UK and European tour next Spring, in support of their fourth studio album I can feel you creep into my private life, due for release on 19th January 2018.

Starting in March next year, bandleader Merrill Garbus will be joined by Nate Brenner and Hamir Atwal on twelve dates across the UK and Europe. Tickets for all shows go on sale this Friday, 17th November at 10am GMT. A Spotify ticket pre-sale begins on Wednesday 15th November at 10am GMT

On I can feel you creep into my private life, Tune-Yards is officially a duo. Garbus is joined by collaborator Nate Brenner who produced and wrote the album together with lyrics by Garbus. Tune-Yards worked with a mixer Mikaelin “Blue” Bluespruce (Solange, Skepta, Kendrick Lamar). Much of the album was recorded at John Vanderslice’s new studio, Tiny Telephone Oakland, in Oakland, CA and mastered in Harlem, NY by Dave Kutch (Jay-Z, Chance the Rapper)

Thematically, the twelve new songs tackle race, politics, intersectional feminism and environmental prophecies head on. But in the billows of intense subject matter, the album arrives as Tune-Yards’ most immediate and upbeat music yet – this is music to dance to
