Midlake have announced news of three UK live appearances in June in support of their recent album, For the Sake of Bethel Woods. The band will be performing at the Black Deer Festival in Kent on 16th June and have also added two special intimate London shows either side of the event, playing to their fans at both Oslo and Omeara.
Midlake June UK live dates:
Thursday 15th June – London – Oslo
Friday 16th June – Kent – Black Deer Festival
Saturday 17th June – London – Omeara
Additionally, Midlake have announced their first-ever live album, Live At Roundhouse, a career-spanning double-LP recorded on stage last year at the historic Roundhouse in London. Live At Roundhouse will be available on Record Store Day, 22nd April, as a stunning matte-board double album printed on Translucent Red and Translucent Orange 180-gram vinyl, with expansive artwork by photographer Andy Little.
Recorded 6th April, 2022, Live At Roundhouse showcases material from across Midlake’s still-evolving body of work, from 2006’s wondrous The Trials of Van Occupanther through the dark psych-folk thickets of 2010’s The Courage of Others, to 2013’s shape-shifting Antiphon and last year’s critically acclaimed fifth album, For The Sake Of Bethel Woods. Highlights of the 75+ minute retrospective include such fan favourites and greatest hits as “Roscoe,” “The Old and the Young,” “Head Home,” and “Acts of Man,” the latter featuring special guest vocals from singer/songwriter Bess Atwell.
