2019 has shown little sign of Dacus slowing down, following a name-making year which saw the Richmond, VA singer-songwriter release her second album Historian, be one third of supergroup sensation boygenius with Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers, sell out UK headline shows and make debut US national TV appearances on CBS This Morning, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Last Call With Carson Daly

A song series titled 2019, consisting of originals and covers, is to be released around notable dates in the year (Taurus season and US Mother’s Day, American Independence Day, Springsteen’s Birthday, Halloween, Christmas, and New Year’s), with the first track in the series, a cover of Edith Piaf’s romantic staple ‘La Vie En Rose’ for Valentine’s Day, released in Feb. With Taurus season and US Mother’s Day approaching, the second installment in the series is to follow soon, and 2019 will be released in its entirety later in the year as an EP
