Green Man Festival turns the grand old age of 20 this year, and they have now announced the initial lineup for their birthday show!
They’ve got incredible headliners coming your way – first up, the sensational Michael Kiwanuka, ready to bathe the Black Mountains in his soulful sounds. Joining him are none other than the iconic groundbreakers of electronic music, one of the most influential acts of the 20th century – Kraftwerk – bringing their 3D show to our Mountain Stage this summer.
The wondrous Beach House are set to return to Wales, to transport and mesmerise with evocative soundscapes from records new and old. And dishing up the good times are Metronomy with a set that’s sure to be a genre-traversing mix of classic and new electro-tinged material.

After a much more ‘homegrown’ feel to last year’s post-lockdown festival last year, it’s great to see acts from around the globe joining the lineup once again, including – New York indie-stalwarts Parquet Courts, Minnesotan genre-defiers Low, and art-pop royalty Ezra Furman from across the pond. Not to mention Swedish post-punk outfit Viagra Boys, Niger’s Mdou Moctar, Zambia’s Zamrock band Witch, Japanese ten-piece Minyo Crusaders, Belgian-Caribbean avant pop artist Charlotte Adigéry and Australian psych rockers Psychedelic Porn Crumpets – to name just a few!
It’s going to be such a joy celebrating the Green Man Festival 20th anniversary together in the Brecon Beacons this August! There’s lots more to come, so keep those ears to the ground.
