New Release & Video: Tune-Yards – Heart Attack

Tune-Yards have released new song, Heart Attack, taken from the forthcoming album, I can feel you creep into my private life, released January 19th

On the heart-rending bridge, bandleader Merrill Garbus pleads, “I’m only human,” as her voice dissolves into the digital, endlessly danceable abyss. The accompanying clip is directed by Mimi Cave, who also created previous Tune-Yards videos Bizness and My Country. The video is choreographed by Megan Lawson (Madonna, Katy Perry) and features improvisation by the cast of dancers…

I can feel you creep into my private life is the fourth studio album from Tune-Yards, now a fully collaborative effort between Garbus and Nate Brenner who co-wrote and co-produced the album. Garbus’ lyrics explore her place in the world, ruminating on race, politics, inter-sectional feminism and environmental prophecies

Tune-Yards will also tour the UK and Europe throughout March next year, with Garbus and Brenner joined on stage by percussionist Hamir Atwal – all dates below…
