New Release & Tour: Sivu – Four Leaf Clover Love

Sivu has unveiled the brand new track Four Leaf Clover, which is taken from his forthcoming EP This Unfruitful Love: the first new material since his critically-acclaimed second album Sweet Sweet Silent

Take a listen here…

Four Leaf Clover, says Sivu, “was written towards the end of ‘Sweet Sweet Silent’, but to me it felt like a different entity from the new album so I really wanted this track to have a separate life. The song is based around this idea of falling in and out of love with luck itself. Reflecting on my career to date, there have definitely been some extreme high points which I feel truly grateful for, but with that there is always the crushing low points to balance you out. And it’s in those moments you are always yearning for those lucky breaks and any opportunities you can, but most of the time you are just waiting for nothing and need to make things happen for yourself.”

Produced by Charlie Andrew, and inspired by the likes of Radiohead’s Amnesiac, Wild Beasts’ Smother, plus lifelong heroes such as Richard Hawley – what emerged proved to be a record worth fighting for. Lyrically, it’s all about addressing one’s insecurities head on, but coming out the other side: whether self-doubt, inner gremlins, or the deterioration of mind (and body) as you grow older. You are left with Sivu’s growing sense of the self-assured: here are songs about growing happy with who you are and what you have, instead of worrying about what your future might look like
