New Release: Mumford & Sons – Wilder Mind

mumford-sons-wilder-mind

Following Friday’s teaser, Mumford & Sons have announced their return after a brief hiatus,
with a brand new album and the follow-up to 2012’s Babel

Due for release on 4th May, Wilder Mind will be the band’s third record, and was produced by
Simian Mobile Disco‘s James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Florence & The Machine, HAIM) in Texas, London
and at the studio of The National‘s Aaron Dessner, over the past twelve months

Much like Laura Marling‘s recent change in style, we’re set to expect a much more guitar-driven album,
with tracks and lyrics written collaboratively by all four of the band

The tracklisting is as follows…

Tompkins Square Park
Believe
The Wolf
Wilder Mind
Just Smoke
Monster
Snake Eyes
Broad-Shouldered Beasts
Cold Arms
Ditmas
Only Love
Hot Gates

As well as their (slightly unexpected) headline sets at the Leeds and Reading Festivals this Summer,
Mumford & Sons have also announced the return of their famous Gentlemen Of The Road shows,
which this year will feature glorious lineups including Ben Howard, Foo Fighters, Jenny Lewis,
Vaccines, Dawes, Primal Scream, Lianne La Havas, Maccabees, Tune-Yards, My Morning Jacket,
James Vincent McMorrow, Flaming Lips and Alabama Shakes! (not all at once though, unfortunately!)

The tour will head through the beautiful Aviemore region of Scotland, before heading to the states…
