Glastonbury Festival
June 25th – 29th
Sold Out

Known as the King of all festivals, and rightly so, Glastonbury returns to Worthy Farm next week, with a carefully selected lineup from the Eavis family and their merry band of organisers. Now into its 44th year, the legendary Somerset show has seen over 85 headliners take to the Pyramid stage, and as always, there’s been much debate over the chosen three. The Rolling Stones’ slot last year was always going to be a tough one to follow, but it comes down to Arcade Fire, Metallica and Kasabian to take up the challenge in 2014. And, whether you’re keen on these or not, the best thing about Glastonbury is, there’s a million other things to do instead! So no complaining from anyone, please!

We’ll have a more extensive guide for each festival in the days prior to kickoff,
but for now, here are a few of our chosen acts you cannot miss at Glasto…

Blondie | Wild Beasts | Tinariwen | George Ezra | Gibson Bull | Tune-Yards | Lykke Li | Arcade Fire
Nick Mulvey | Midlake | Thea Gilmore | Warpaint | Luke Sital-Singh | John Grant | Ethan Johns
Robert Plant | Marika Hackman | Lianne La Havas | St. Vincent | The Black Keys | Dolly Parton
Bombay Bicycle Club | Phosphorescent | Smoke Fairies | Hot Feet

Latitude-site

Latitude Festival
July 17th – 20th
Tickets still available

Pitching in the glorious surroundings of Henham Park once again, the ever-brilliant Latitude Festival will kick-off in July this Summer welcoming another stellar lineup to Suffolk. Having won numerous awards in the past, Latitude is claimed by some as the second best festival in the UK to Glastonbury, with its gorgeous location, family friendly activities and forest-filled evening enchantment. As always, it boasts one of the finest comedy lineups of the Summer, and the music ain’t too shabby either! Once you’ve taken in the colourful sheep, roamed the woods and taken a stroll by the river that flows through the site, we recommend you head over to the stages to drink in the likes of…

Billy Bragg | Bombay Bicycle Club | Tame Impala | The Black Keys | First Aid Kit | Conor Oberst
James Vincent McMorrow | Valerie June | Cass McCombs | Marika Hackman | Anna Calvi

Cambridge Folk Festival
July 31st – August 3rd
Sold Out

Celebrating 50 years of the Cambridge Folk Festival, an event that many of our parents will have attended at some point, this year’s event should be pretty spectacular. All ten thousand tickets have sold out for the party at Cherry Hinton Hall and they’re set to witness some wonderful headliners, along with many great emerging acts at The Den. This is the home of folk in the UK and one that should be cherished and loved! We personally recommend checking out…

Georgia Ruth | Ladysmith Black Mambazo | Pokey LaFarge | Seth Lakeman | Van Morrison
Jason Isbell | Jonny Flynn & The Sussex Wit | Moulettes | Martin & Eliza Carthy | Fisherman’s Friends
Rosanne Cash | Keston Cobbler’s Club | Boat To Row | Samantha Crain |  Patch & The Giant
And pretty much everyone else!

Greenman

Green Man Festival
14th – 17th August
Tickets Still Available

Green Man Festival nestles neatly amongst the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains in Wales, churning out brilliance upon brilliance each year! And we’re pleased to say that this year’s lineup is more of the same, with a huge number of exceptional artists confirmed for the August event. This refreshingly independent festival is now into its 10th year and is accommodating for both young and old, as well as families and festival-goers who don’t fancy the intense crowds of larger festivals. Having taken in the extraordinary beauty of its surroundings, we suggest grabbing a cider, some locally sourced grub and witnessing the musical delights of…

Beirut | Daughter | Bill Calahan | First Aid Kit | Sharon Van Etten | Real Estate | The War On Drugs
Nick Mulvey | Other Lives | Boy & Bear | Jonathan Wilson | Angel Olsen | I Break Horses |
Lanterns On The Lake | Francois & The Atlas Mountains | Samantha Crain | Georgia Ruth | Farao

End Of The Road Festival
August 29th – 31st
Tickets Still Available

Our fifth and final recommendation for this Summer, and bringing the extraordinary season to a close once again, is the utterly beautiful End Of The Road Festival. Located in Larmer Tree Gardens in Wiltshire, this show-stopper of an event will see a big bunch of favourites all in one place, giving us a great big smile to finish the Summer with! With great attractions including the Healing Retreat, Woodland Library and Wonderlands, there is so much to do other than see bands play! But, as that’s what you’re here for, here are our pick of the crop from this year’s End Of The Road lineup…

Wild Beasts | Tune-Yards | Tinariwen | John Grant | St. Vincent | Jenny Lewis | Richard Thompson
Perfume Genius | Flaming Lips | Johnny Flynn | Cate Le Bon | British Sea Power | Marissa Nadler
Woods | Cold Specks | John Smith | Sweet Baboo | Stealing Sheep | Peggy Sue | Lily & Madeleine
Kiran Leonard | Tiny Ruins | The Wave Pictures | Wye Oak | Laish | Sam Lee

So…

We hope we’ve helped you if you’ve yet to decide on a festival this Summer!
We’d ideally go to all of them, and with tickets left for three of the five,
we suggest getting your pennies together and grabbing some while you still can!

Look out for our more extensive guides for each event just before the gates open,
featuring a deeper look at some of the acts playing, a look at what to do when the bands aren’t on,
and a playlist featuring all our recommended artists for each festival
